2021 Christmas Collection
In so many ways 2021 has been a year like no other and one we won’t forget easily. I’m sure this heightened awareness of so many concerns is reinforced by some of the amazing documentaries we’ve been offered on screen and podcast over the past year. Maybe it’s no surprise then that my inspiration behind the designing of this year’s PIKE Collection piece relates to the theme of climate change.

Kelp
Kelp – a very important sea algae, is in decline and the importance of its existence cannot be underestimated. Kelp and kelp forests play a vital role in maintaining our planet’s biodiversity and health. It has enormous value as part of our coastal food web both as a food source directly, and providing an ecosystem for other sea life.
Coastal ecosystems including kelp have an incredible capacity to mitigate the effects of climate change. So powerful is their impact that they can sequester up to 20 times more carbon than equivalent sized land forests.

Design
The way in which Kelp blades waft and travel creating ever changing patterns fascinates me, and I used this concept framed within a circle as this year’s pendant design.
The pendants are made in a combination of polished and matt finished Palladium Silver, featuring your choice of a small set gemstone, or 18 carat yellow or pink gold fish. Pendants will be available in 30mm size.
We can quote for individual gemstones, even your birthstone if you wish, and in case you don’t know your birthstone, I have listed them below.

We will be taking orders from the middle of November and I will be in touch soon with more visuals later in the month.
Cheers,
Nicholas
