A ‘branch’ of diamonds
Hi everyone,
December is here and what a year 2018 has been for us.
We have completed some of the most rewarding contemporary, classic, simple and complicated pieces, all of them exciting and meaningful. We have already showcased some of the earlier 2018 work on our Commissions website page, and I would now like to share a most recent one with you.
It is a stunning piece that we created using all of the customer’s collection of diamonds. It is a ring, which was originally going to be a very rough textured style with the diamonds at random, however after further discussion with the client we agreed that the band should be simplified to a concave profile ring featuring a ‘branch’ of diamonds. The customers diamonds are both modern and old fashioned cuts and are all different sizes. This allowed for the diamond lines to be uneven and staggered giving the ring an organic look and our client absolutely loves it and wears it every day.
This style of ring is similar to the ring I made for Helen recently (below), as she has always admired the organic textured style that I design and it is particularly effective in yellow gold and white gold. The finish of this style of ring is perfect for every day wear as the detail disguises scratches.
Just a reminder, we have lots of beautiful, ready-to-buy jewellery at the studio to choose from if you are looking for a Christmas gift. The prices start at just $95. Click here to see some of the range. We will happily gift wrap for you!
I hope you all enjoy the festive season; Merry Xmas and a Happy 2019, stay safe and well, and I will be back on your screen in the New Year with some more exciting stories.
Love, Nicholas
