Amethyst and diamond ring
The Brief:
This beautiful cluster ring was commissioned by one of our faithful interstate clients and the central oval amethyst was supplied by our client.
The Process:
Nicholas presented her with a couple of design options and the art deco inspired version was the one she chose.
What made this a striking design was the rectangular shape around the main stone softened by angled corners. Added to this the elegant scooped base which Matthew created gives the setting an added feature of a mirror effect reflecting up through the amethyst.
The two tone 18 carat white and yellow gold ring has a lovely colour contrast and gives flexibility allowing her to mix and match her ring with other yellow or white gold pieces.
Normally we get to see our customers reaction but because she lives interstate the finished piece was couriered to her. Her response was as we had hoped:
‘It’s just arrived, it fits beautifully, it’s perfect.’
