Pave set diamond ring
The Brief:
To design a wide ring using all of our client's diamonds that were all different sizes from some existing rings.
The Process:
This commission started with our client’s yellow gold diamond rings:
Nicholas drew a number of designs to show how the diamonds, that were all of different sizes, could be set in one ring:
Our client liked the simplicity of design A but wanted to see some variations on the design.
Nicholas offered the following:
Diamonds set between bars of white gold
Diamonds pressure set straight into the white gold band
Diamonds channel set between white gold ribs
Our client liked D but chose bead setting, where tiny ‘beads’ of metal are pushed up between each diamond to hold the diamonds in place. And the finished ring is making her very happy.
