Pearl and diamond engagement ring
The Brief:
To make a South Sea pearl and diamond engagement ring for our overseas client.
The Process:
We met our client via the internet because he lives in Hong Kong and he was recommended to us by existing clients living in Adelaide. We had created a pearl and diamond engagement ring for the Adelaide couple, and at the time it was a concept that they found difficult to convince other jewellers to make as an engagement ring due to the vulnerability of pearl to damage. We made up the ring with a pearl and diamonds, and we still see the ring for cleaning and it still looks really beautiful.
Our HK client was definite about the inclusion of a pearl based on the success of his friend’s ring so we sourced a beautiful flawless South Sea pearl, added diamond set shoulders and crafted the ring in 18ct white gold.
