Yellow diamond ring
The Brief:
To redesign an engagement ring and wedding ring into one ring.
The Process:
This commission ring started with an unfortunate accident – the rings had to be cut off of the client’s hand after she broke her hand and the rings became stuck.
After Nicholas cut her rings off, the client started thinking about whether to have the rings remade in exactly the same design, or to have a brand new ring design. Nicholas drew one ring that incorporated all of the diamonds from both rings, and the client loved it. She also decided to use some extra diamonds from another ring:
