Tourmaline and diamond ring

The Brief:

To find a beautiful gemstone to place at the centre of two green tourmalines.

The Process:

This stunning ring started with two trilliant-cut buff-top green tourmalines – the stones were originally one large oval stone but became damaged and were carefully re-cut into two smaller ones.

The customer has an amazing eye for colour and wanted an unexpected central stone. And tourmaline was her first choice with this amazing peach colour.

This ring also features some sentimental diamonds. Matthew used a combination of white and yellow gold on the tourmalines to complement their beautiful colours, white gold to make the diamonds sparkle, and yellow gold for the band.
