The making of the Christmas Collection 2017
The PIKE Jewellers Christmas Collection 2017 is inspired by nature. Nicholas drew this beautiful cluster of leaf pendants one evening, and couldn’t wait to bring them in to reality. And the Christmas Collection for 2017 was born.

The original sketch.
Once the leaf theme for the Collection was decided, Nicholas refined the number of pendants that would be included to give customer’s some choice, and whether a gemstone would be included:

Nicholas then set to cutting out the design from jeweller’s wax:

Once the leaf was cut out and refined, Nicholas used the jeweller’s torch to add on a bail to the pendant – this is where the chain feeds through:

Moulding the wax with heat and adding the bail.
The wax was then sent off to the casting company, and the first silver casting came back to the studio workshop a few weeks later. Time for Nicholas to clean it up and check it all:

And then time to see where some dew-drop diamonds could be added to the design for a bit of sparkle:

And here is the beautiful Collection:
As always, the pendants come with a complimentary sterling silver chain, and we will happily gift wrap them:

The Christmas Collection will be available to buy from the studio workshop from November 6.
