Amethyst, peridot, zircon and diamond ring

The Brief:

This commission started with our client asking Nicholas to design and make a ring as a surprise for his wife. It was important to him to use the birthstones of them and their children that also included architectural elements within the design.

The Process:

Nicholas suggested using gemstone shapes and a ring design that had strong angles to represent architectural elements. Once this was approved by our client, we sourced the complementary birthstones as these were the main feature of the ring design.

Once the stones were approved, the hand making process began. Our client saw many stages of the manufacturing process, including the individual settings before they were all soldered together.
