This depends on how complex the design is, and if we need to order gemstones in for the commission. Generally, the time from the first appointment until the collection of a piece of jewellery is 4-6 weeks.

The cost of having a piece of jewellery designed and hand-made at PIKE does vary depending on the precious metal chosen, the size and types of gemstones chosen and the complexity of the design. As a guide, a very simple ring made in 9ct gold starts at approximately $3000.

No. While we do a lot of remodelling work using clients’ sentimental stones, we also love to work with brand new gemstones which we source from trusted suppliers.

Absolutely. Nicholas is an accredited member of the National Council of Jewellery Valuers (NCJV).

We sure do. If you have a piece of jewellery that needs to be repaired, come and see us and we can let you know what needs to be done and provide a quote.

Yes, we can. All we need are the details of what was stolen (previous valuations and photographs are helpful) and we can provide an up-to-date quote to give to your insurance company to replace what has been stolen. Pop in and we can give you a quote for this service.

This can be a tricky one – because we pride ourselves on making beautiful faultless jewellery, we like to start with fresh, pure gold. Adding old gold to new gold can sometimes introduce impurities, increasing the chance of cracking and tiny air holes in the new piece of jewellery. Each piece is unique, so please come in and talk to us to find out more.

We provide an annual subsidised polish and rhodium plating service for all jewellery made at PIKE for two reasons: 1) so it always looks its best for your enjoyment and 2) so we can check it and make sure it’s in great condition.

The studio workshop is open from Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 5pm. If you can’t make it during these times, please call us on 08 8338 3109, or contact us and we’ll make a time that suits you.

Yes. Sterling silver is a beautiful metal. We also have a lovely limited edition range of sterling silver Ready Made jewellery at the studio to choose from.

The PIKE Collection designs are all available as limited editions at the studio workshop. Each year’s design can also be personalised.

We take a 50% deposit for all commissions, with the balance paid on collection of your beautiful piece of PIKE jewellery. We happily accept all credit and EFTPOS cards, and bank transfers.

No. We love helping people to choose the perfect diamond for their engagement ring. Once we have had a chat about the size, shape and type of diamond you are looking for, we get a range of gorgeous stones for you to look at from our trusted suppliers.

Nicholas has been working with diamonds for over 50 years. He is a qualified jewellery valuer and looks at diamonds every day. He can answer any questions you have about the cut, clarity and colour of diamonds, and help you choose the perfect diamond for you.

Because we specialise in custom designing and hand making engagement rings, we don’t have lots of jewellery cabinets with hundreds of engagement rings to choose from. Our approach is more personal. We have many photos and designs to inspire you, and Matthew is always making something beautiful we can show you as well.

Absolutely! We love helping people surprise their loved ones!
